Factory introductions were made Nov. 28, 1952. The model run brought production of 89,730 cars. Calendar year sales hit 81,341 vehicles. Packard was ranked 14th among automakers in industry sales. Body/Style 2697, the Clipper Sportster, used the two-door Club Sedan body with Mayfair trim features including chrome interior roof bows; extra heavy side window moldings and staggered-type side trim to give the car a pillar-less hardtop look.
