Esta central el\u00e9trica possui uma engrenagem de v\u00e1lvula lateral, um projeto de 12 cilindros de 60 graus V e 2 v\u00e1lvulas por cilindro. Desenvolve 160 cv (119 kW) de pot\u00eancia a 3.200 rpm. O motor transmite a sua pot\u00eancia \u00e0s rodas atrav\u00e9s de uma caixa de velocidades manual de 3 velocidades.<\/p>\n<p>O pre\u00e7o deste modelo em 1933 era de 3.850 d\u00f3lares. Foram fabricadas 520 unidades dos modelos da s\u00e9rie 1005.<\/p>\n<h2>10\u00aa s\u00e9rie de 1933<\/h2>\n<p>Cada um destes trinta e sete modelos diferentes desta s\u00e9rie de 1933 tinham a qualidade de um verdadeiro Packard. Os Oitos Packard n\u00e3o eram t\u00e3o potentes ou grandes como os Oitos Super e os Twelves e n\u00e3o eram t\u00e3o luxuosos nos seus acabamentos, mas do ponto de vista da qualidade dos materiais e da precis\u00e3o no acabamento, n\u00e3o havia carros melhores fabricados.<\/p>\n<p>Os Packards desta 10\u00aa s\u00e9rie de 1933 s\u00e3o lindos na apar\u00eancia. Tinham sido modernizados, mas ainda assim mantiveram as linhas tradicionais da Packard. A pol\u00edtica de alguns fabricantes consistia em lan\u00e7ar todos os anos um novo modelo que mudava t\u00e3o radicalmente em apar\u00eancia que o modelo anterior \u00e9 definitivamente obsoleto.<\/p>\n<p>Durante muitos anos, a Packard prosseguiu com \u00eaxito uma pol\u00edtica diferente e muito mais dif\u00edcil de implementar. A sua pol\u00edtica tinha sido manter a modernidade dos novos modelos na apar\u00eancia sem prejudicar seriamente o modelo do ano anterior. O resultado foi que no Packard estavam sempre presentes certas caracter\u00edsticas de apar\u00eancia que foram incorporadas no Packard da s\u00e9rie anterior. <\/p>\n<p>Os radiadores e cap\u00f4s dos novos carros da S\u00e9rie 10 s\u00e3o mais altos. Os guarda-lamas anti-pingos s\u00e3o agora utilizados. Os p\u00e1ra-brisas t\u00eam uma inclina\u00e7\u00e3o mais acentuada e os feixes de p\u00e1ra-brisas fundem-se na tampa do compartimento do motor sem uma junta vis\u00edvel. As molduras do corpo foram levantadas, o que aumenta a impress\u00e3o de leveza e comprimento.
