Em 1909, a Oakland Motor Car Company of Pontiac (Michigan) lan\u00e7a os modelos “OAKLAND 20” e “OAKLAND 40”, com uma venda total de 735 ve\u00edculos.
\nNo ano seguinte, 1910, as vendas totais foram de 2124 ve\u00edculos, principalmente devido ao sucesso do “Oakland Model K 40 TOURING”.<\/p>\n

O Modelo K foi o modelo de topo da gama Oakland de 1910 com um grande motor de 4 cilindros em linha, 5200 cc e 40 cv.
\nComo curiosidade, o seu valor de venda em 1913 era de 1.700 d\u00f3lares. <\/p>\n

Este \u00e9 o \u00faltimo carro “grande” constru\u00eddo pela Oakland antes de ser comprado pela General Motors e um dos poucos Oakland Model K’s excitantes.
\nSua fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o foi conclu\u00edda em 1912.<\/p>\n

Este carro foi exposto no Long Island Auto Museum, Nova Iorque, EUA, e foi publicado na s\u00e9rie de postais do museu desde 1976, o carro fazia parte de uma cole\u00e7\u00e3o particular na Holanda desde 1992.<\/p>\n
