La toute nouvelle S\u00e9rie 22 fut lanc\u00e9e en ao\u00fbt 1947, et comme Packard ne se limitait pas aux changements d’ann\u00e9e-mod\u00e8le, les voitures furent commercialis\u00e9es jusqu’en mai 1949. D’un style \u00e9pur\u00e9 et \u00e9pur\u00e9, la nouvelle ligne Packard, radicalement arrondie, se caract\u00e9rise par un capot allong\u00e9, une calandre sup\u00e9rieure \u00ab\u00a0ox-yoke\u00a0\u00bb et une calandre inf\u00e9rieure horizontale enveloppante. La \u00ab\u00a0Voiture de mode de l’ann\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb de la New York Fashion Academy pour 1948 a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9compens\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Les premiers Packards de la 22\u00e8me s\u00e9rie \u00e0 para\u00eetre en ao\u00fbt 1947 furent les nouveaux cabriolets. Packard n’a pas adh\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me de codage de l’ann\u00e9e mod\u00e8le avant 1951.
