Queen Model B Runabout

Among the first American classic vehicles we have the “Queen Model B Runabout (1905)”. This Runabout came with a 4654 cc – 284 cubic inch 12 bhp twin engine, three-speed manual transmission, solid front and active rear axles with semi-elliptical spring suspension and mechanical drum brakes on the rear wheels. Wheelbase: 1981 mm – 78 inches.

The price of the Queen Model B Runabout was $775.00.
In 2015 one was auctioned for US$ 33,000 (€ 29,883).

According to Beverly Rae Kimes and Henry Austin Clark, Jr.’s comprehensive American Standard Car Catalog 1805-1942, C.H. Blomstrom’s “Queen” is the only vehicle that begins with the letter “Q” built as standard in the United States. Total production is estimated at only about 1,500 units over the short three years of “Queen” activity.
