Die zweite Oakland All-American Six Modellreihe zeichnete sich durch neue Karosseriekonstruktionen mit h\u00f6heren Haubenlinien und Gurten, niedrigeren Dachlinien und breiteren Kotfl\u00fcgeln aus. <\/p>\n

Ein einzelnes hufeisenf\u00f6rmiges K\u00fchlergeh\u00e4use wurde durch eine vertikale Mittelstange geteilt. Die attraktive Kapuze hatte f\u00fcnf S\u00e4tze Vertikaljalousien. Eine einzige Leine, die sich vollst\u00e4ndig um die Heizk\u00f6rper erstreckt. <\/p>\n

Alle Modelle mit Ausnahme des Roadsters und des Phaeton, die von Stewart gebaut wurden, hatten Fischeraufbauten. Zur Serienausstattung geh\u00f6rten ein Visier an der Windschutzscheibe, ein automatischer Scheibenwischer und ein R\u00fcckspiegel.<\/p>\n

Die Produktion der zweiten Ausgabe von Oakland\/1929 Modell 212 (24. September 1928 bis 9. Oktober 1929) betrug 50.693 Fahrzeuge.<\/p>\n

MOTOR<\/strong>: Sechszylinder-L-Kopf. Durchmesser und Hub: 3-3\/8 x 4-1\/4 Zoll. Verdr\u00e4ngung: 3736 ccm. Leistung: 68 bis 3000 U\/min. Wassergek\u00fchlt. TECHNISCH: Vierpunkt-Gummimotorhalterungen; verst\u00e4rkte Rahmenquertr\u00e4ger zur Aufnahme schwererer Karosserien.<\/p>\n

Radstand: 2972 mm. Midland Steeld hydraulische Bremsen an allen vier R\u00e4dern. Achs\u00fcbersetzung: 4,42:1 bis 4,73:1.<\/p>\n

OPTIONEN<\/strong>: Lovejoy Sto\u00dfd\u00e4mpfer. Sechs Speichenr\u00e4der mit breitfl\u00e4chigen Radkappen. Verchromte Seitenklemmen. Reifenabdeckung f\u00fcr das hinten montierte Reserverad.<\/p>\n

HISTORISCH<\/strong>: Am 24. Januar 1929 meldete der Oakland-Chefingenieur Ben Anibal die US-Patentnummer 1897783 f\u00fcr seinen von V entwickelten Achtzylindermotor an, der zum Oakland-Motor 1930-31 werden sollte. Am 8. M\u00e4rz 1929 wurde das millionste Oakland gebaut. In der Schlussfolgerung von 1929 belegte Oakland unter 33 Automobilherstellern den 21. Platz im Branchenumsatz.<\/p>\n
