Die neue Oakland All-American Six hatte einen neuen 3.472 ccm L-Kopf-Motor mit einem l\u00e4ngeren Radstand von 2.972 mm. <\/p>\n

Es wurden sieben K\u00f6rperformen angeboten. Das Gesamtbild aller Modelle wurde durch die Verwendung von niedrigeren und l\u00e4ngeren Karosserien, neuen Kotfl\u00fcgeln, l\u00e4ngeren Hauben und \u00dcberarbeitungen des R\u00fcckwanddesigns verbessert. <\/p>\n

K\u00fchler, Lampenr\u00e4nder und Motorhaubenverschl\u00fcsse wurden verchromt. Ein Ersatzreifen war inzwischen bei allen Oakland-Modellen Standard. Ebenfalls vorgestellt wurden eine Fisher Vision & Ventilation Windschutzscheibe, ein R\u00fcckspiegel, eine einzelne Brems- und R\u00fcckfahrleuchte, eine Gasanzeige auf der Instrumententafel, Sonnenblenden (nur bei geschlossenen Modellen), ein verchromtes K\u00fchlergeh\u00e4use, Chromlampenfelgen und verchromte Haubenverschl\u00fcsse. Der Sport Phaeton und der Sport Roadster hatten einen Kofferraum.<\/p>\n

Die Produktion von Oakland Model 212 (22. Juni 1927 bis 25. Juni 1928) belief sich auf 60.121 Fahrzeuge.<\/p>\n

MOTOREN: Sechszylinder-L-Kopf. Durchmesser und Hub: 3-1\/4 X 4-1\/4 Zoll. Verschiebung: 3.472 ccm. Leistung: 60 bis 2800 U\/min. Verdichtungsverh\u00e4ltnis: 4,9:1. Wassergek\u00fchlt.<\/p>\n

TECHNIKER: General Motors Research (GMR) Zylinderkopf mit konvexem Deflektor an den Kolben, um die Detonation zu reduzieren und ein h\u00f6heres Verdichtungsverh\u00e4ltnis zu erm\u00f6glichen; eine geschmiedete, vierfach gelagerte Kurbelwelle mit integrierter Gegengewichtsverstellung und Torsionsd\u00e4mpfer; ein blockmontierter Verteiler am Seitenmotor; wegweisender Einsatz von Kraftstoffpumpe und Kraftstofffilter (ersetztes Vakuumtanksystem).<\/p>\n

Radstand: 2.972 mm. Reifen, 29 x 5,50 auf Holzartillerier\u00e4dern im Radius von 19 Zoll montiert. <\/p>\n

Externe Allradbremsen mit 12-3\/8 Zoll Trommeln von 1-7\/8 Zoll Breite. Hinterachs\u00fcbersetzung: 4,41:1.<\/p>\n

OPTIONEN: Alle 1928er Oaklands hatten perforierte Rahmen f\u00fcr den Einbau von optionalen Delco-Remy-Lovejoy-D\u00e4mpfern. Sport-Roadster: Seitlich angebrachte Reifenabdeckungen, Sechsradausr\u00fcstung und Draht-Speichenr\u00e4der.<\/p>\n

HISTORISCH: 1928 w\u00e4re das letzte Jahr, in dem Oakland einen Umsatzanstieg verzeichnen w\u00fcrde.<\/p>\n
