Die H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit lag bei 140 bis 150 km\/h. Als erster Jaguar hatte der Mark V eine vollhydraulische Bremsbet\u00e4tigung. Die Vorderr\u00e4der waren einzeln an doppelten Dreieckslenkern mit hydraulischen D\u00e4mpfern und Drehstabfederung aufgeh\u00e4ngt. Auch die Karosserie hatte sich gegen\u00fcber dem Vorg\u00e4nger deutlich ver\u00e4ndert: Die Scheinwerfer waren nicht mehr einzeln auf die Kotfl\u00fcgel montiert, sondern in diese integriert. Die Radausschnitte der Hinterr\u00e4der waren zun\u00e4chst verkleidet. Neben der Limousine wurde in beiden Leistungsklassen auch ein zweit\u00fcriges Cabriolet angeboten.<\/p>\n<p>1951 wurde die Produktion eingestellt. Bis dahin waren 1674 Limousinen des 2 \u00bd Litre und 7828 des 3 \u00bd Litre gebaut worden sowie weitere 29 bzw. 971 Cabriolets.
