Es wurde nur eine Kopie des Autos angefertigt, die derzeit im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holland.com\/de\/tourist\/reiseziele\/den-haag\/museen\/das-louwman-museum.htm\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Louwman Museum<\/a> ausgestellt ist.<\/p>\n<p>1954 wollte Mario Felice Boano, der damals in Ghia arbeitete, einen Sportwagen f\u00fcr den amerikanischen Markt entwerfen. Um die Pl\u00e4ne umzusetzen, ging Boano zu Carlo Abarth, dem Besitzer von Abarth, mit dem er zuvor zusammengearbeitet hatte. Boano entwarf das Auto mit Hilfe von Giovanni Michelotti in drei Karosserievarianten, einer Spinne, einem Cabriolet und dem Coup\u00e9. Abarth k\u00fcmmerte sich um den Rest des Autos, einschlie\u00dflich des Antriebsstrangs. Der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Teil dieses Motors stammt vom Fiat 1100, einschlie\u00dflich Aufh\u00e4ngung, Getriebe und 1,1-Liter-Motor. Das Auto erhielt auch Teile aus einem von Abarth hergestellten Bausatz. Das waren die Vergaser und der Auspuff. Das Auto hatte eine Leistung von 66 PS und, laut Abarth selbst, eine H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit von 186 km\/h. Abarth hatte die Motorleistung fast verdoppelt, so lieferte beispielsweise der Fiat-Motor 36 PS.<\/p>\n<p>Der 209A wurde 1955 auf dem Automobilsalon in Turin zusammen mit dem 208A vorgestellt und wurde ausgestellt, bevor das Auto 1955 auf den Genfer Automobilsalon geschickt wurde. Sobald das Auto in den Vereinigten Staaten war, wurde es auf der Chicago Auto Show ausgestellt. Abarths Importeur in den USA, Tony Pompeo, bestellte zw\u00f6lf Fahrzeuge aus der Serie, darunter ein 209A Boano Coup\u00e9. Sie wurden nie produziert. Das einzige 209A Boano Coup\u00e9 wurde an jemanden verkauft, der in der Gegend von Chicago lebte. In den 1960er Jahren erschien das Auto auf einigen Oldtimermessen und sp\u00e4ter wurde es von Peter Kaus f\u00fcr sein Rosso Bianco Museum gekauft.
